Interesting Conversation

I had an interesting conversation now...

It went as follows:

“With tonight Inshallah being the start of Ramadaan, for the next few weeks...such will be the abundance of food.

Which we do not have all year through...”

Is this what Ramadaan has been reduced to?

I sit and reflect what Ramdaan means to me – these are the glorious days in which the Almighty grants each belier the opportunity to do good which is multiplied tenfold. A time in which the Qura’an was revealed and can be used to reflect and

its message entrenched within our lives so that from here forth we can practise upon and become better Muslims...

it’s a time for when we reflect on our own lives, those of our Brethren and the Ummah alike...how do they feel with these pangs of hunger...are we cleansing our minds, bodies and souls yet feeding our bellies with no afterthought for the Aakirah....Will Allah be pleased with how we treat this blessed and beloved month of Ramadaan?

Help me Oh reader and share with me your thoughts...am I the only one who thinks Ramadaan is a month of taking stock and reflecting on our lives as Muslims....??
