An ode to thy self

I sit and ponder of the days passed…
Had I not chosen this path would I be better off?
The blessing have come in abundance
Yet the light has diminished my sparkle…

I don’t know how the fix this or if fixing is what is needed
Shall I walk the road alone or endure the burden silently?
Days come and days go, happiness a fleeting bird

Away from it all – my radiance shines through
For you know not my true self
Strangers we meet are my companions
Fleeting moments...Memories is all I am left with!

Happiness eludes you yet happiness is all I encompass

► You are rich?
You are strong?
You are INDEPENDENT?
You don't NEED any one?

Okay Now, What About When You Die?

You NEED someone to clean your body
You NEED someone to cover your body with Kaffan
You NEED someone to bury your body and

The most IMPORTANT thing, YOU NEED SOMEONE TO PRAY FOR YOU. So,don't be ARROGANT !! Be HUMBLE in this world!

Remember shaitaan was not a stupid but he was arrogant!

♥ Only Allah Subhanahu wata'ala is The GREATEST, The ONE, The SUPREME, and INDEPENDENT of anything/anybody.

Allah guide us always Aameen!

The Fasting & the Starving

I awake in the morning,
From the warmth of my bed.
He sleeps not, due to hunger,
He has no tears to shed.

I descend my stairs,
Food I can smell.
He struggles to stand,
As he walks to the well.

I have so much to choose,
There is food to spare.
He gathers water with dirt,
And drinks without care.

I am full from my feast,
The rest goes to waste.
He ate nothing, drank filth,
He has nothing to taste.

I make my intention.
Then to prayer I stand.
There is no water left,
Instead he uses sand.

My stomach is full,
Satisfied, I sleep.
His stomach is empty,
In pain he weeps.

I awake later on,
My sleep, satisfactory.
He has not sleeped at all,
And now works in a factory.

I relax in my home,
With the leisures of the West.
From dawn 'till dusk,
He has no rest.

I read the Qur'aan,
And Hadiths of my Prophet.
He yearns for such knowledge,
But only works for a profit.

I enjoy the holidays,
Time away from school.
He would cherish education,
As it is Life's greatest tool.

The Sun is setting,
I help prepare the meal.
He returns from work, exhausted,
His fingers can no longer feel.

I break my fast with my family,
We complain how it was tough.
He shares a date with his Sister and Mother,
For now, it has to be enough.

I finish the banquet prepared,
Taking it all for granted.
He says "Shukran Alhamdulillah"
And thus his fast has ended.

Later I turn on the TV,
To see images of poverty.
He is monitored by patrolling cameras,
That come from a higher economy.

My screen then shows a boy,
I am told he is my age.
He stares into the camera,
Pondering deeply like a sage.

Our eyes now meet,
We stare at each other.
His eyes see through me,
Just like a brother.

In his eyes I see pain,
I see hunger and poverty.
In mine he can see hope,
A land of opportunity.

I realise that we are brothers,
We belong to one Ummah,
I hear words of my Nabi,
And the echoes of his Sunnah.

I whine when I am hungry,
I have not felt his hunger.
I cry when I am hurt,
Yet he has heard cries like thunder.

Tears stream down at his sight,
As his tears, in my heart, are carving.
Oh Allah, diminsh the difference between,
The Fasting and the Starving.

Dua'a for My Husband

Oh Allah! I thank you for granting me the one who is a garment for my soul

Who will satisfy half of my deen and in doing so making me whole

Make him righteous and on your path in every way and let him sprinkle water on me at Fajr reminding me to pray!

May he earn from halaal sources and spend within his means

May he seek Allah's guidance always to fulfill all his dreams

May he always refer to Qura'an and Sunnah as his moral guide

May he thank and appreciate Allah for the woman at his side

May he be conscious of his anger and often fast and pray

Be charitable and sensitive in every possible way

May he honor, protect me and guide me in this life pleasing Allah!

Make me worthy to be his loving wife

And finally, Oh Allah!

Make him abundant in love and laughter

In taqwa and sincerity

In striving for the hereafter!

Aameen

I am a Muslim

I am a "MUSLIM"

Kill me and call it

"A Mistake"

Imprison me and call it

"Security Measure"

Exile my people and masses and call it

"Progress"

Rob my rights, invade my land, declare me as terrorist and call it "Development"

But listen

I’m MUSLIM and will remain MUSLIM forever...

And Remember..

"Every fall has a rise "

And when the MUSLIMs rise, everything shall fall...

Jummah Mubarak

Muhammed Sallahu Alaihi Wasallam

The pen hangs over the blank page
Words to write, of a blessed age!

He came, He called, He cried
The earth lit up with glowing pride!!

People flocked to hear His words
All surrounded, even the birds

His fragrance had them spellbound
His character was perfect and speech profound

Muhammed Sallahu Alaihi Wasallam, was His blessed name
Spreading the true Deen was His only aim

Disbelievers turned to Him in anger
Eyes blazing with a raging fire

They boycotted Him and His loving family
Our beloved Nabi had to eat leaves of a tree!

At Taif they stoned his Mubarak body
Blood flowed into His shoes slowly, slowly

Should I crush them asked Allah the Almighty?
No, was the reply, a believer might emerge from amongst their progeny!

Insides of a camel were placed on His back
Little Faathima (RA) sobbing upon seeing this attack

Tears flow as the pen writes
Crying for us

Ummati, ummati, were His last words upon His breath
Concern for us even during death

We love you, our beloved Nabi, who sacrificed for His Ummah
We wish to rise up, next to You, on the day of Qiyaamah - Aameen

Laailaaha illallahu muhammadur Rasulullah

The Strength of a Woman

The Strength of a Woman
The strength of a woman is not seen in the width of her shoulders but it is seen in the width of her arms when they encircle you.

The strength of a woman is not in the sweet tone of her voice but it is in the gentle words she whispers.

The strength of a woman is not how many friends she has but it is how good a friend she is with her children.

The strength of a woman is not who respects her but it is in how respected she is in her own home.

The strength of a woman is not in how she handles each situation but it is in how tender she is in her touch with every situation.

The strength of a woman is not in the smiles she gives each one but it is in her Heart that knows no boundaries of love for each one.

The strength of a woman is not in the weight she carries but it is in the burdens she can overcome.

The strength of a woman is not in her voice. It is in the wisdom of her words and the softness of her tone.

Our Future

We tend to plan for our future every day; Desperately we try to pave the way. We save every little bit of money we can find, andThe people who can help us achieve this we show kindness.
If there is something we want badly enough we're willing to fight, For a future filled with happiness that is oh so bright.

It is unfortunate though, to fill everyone's hearts with sorrow, remember dear Muslims our future is not tomorrow. It is neither money nor fame that will get us ahead, but the number of times we worship Allah (swt) before the day’s end. That is what will make our future unimaginably great, So let us wake up and take control of our fate.
Tomorrow is not the future you should be planning for, But the day you will be standing before Allah (swt's) door. The day where we will be reminded of every last deed, Like the day you forgot the poor because of your greed.

And what dear Muslim shall you say? When Allah (swt) asks you why you didn't pray? No excuse will be enough, To get out of the hellfire of Jahanam that will be so rough. So let us continue to pray, For our future begins in the Aakirah!

Something to Inspire

To have Allah (swt) in our lives
Does not mean that there will be smooth sailing on a boat with no storms...
It means having an unsinkable boat during the storms!

Hear what Allah (swt) says…

Hear what Allah (swt) says… If I answer your prayer at once, it is because I am testing your faith. If I did not answer your prayer at once, it is because I am testing your patience.

If I did not answer your prayer at all it is because I have a better plan for you. Remember Allah (swt) promises are always yes! He is Allah (swt) - The Mighty and not men
Which explains why He can never fail.

Hold on...don't be discouraged; your miracle is knocking at the door of your heart. A little more faith is what you need to see that all your needs are met. Allah (swt) is saying - He will meet all your needs!

On Dreaming...

I saw myself in a wide green garden, more beautiful than I could begin to understand. In this garden was a young girl. I said to her, "How wonderful this place is!"

"Would you like to see a place even more wonderful than this?" she asked.

"Oh yes," I answered. Then taking me by the hand, she led me on until we came to a magnificent palace, like nothing that was ever seen by human eyes. The young girl knocked on the door, and someone opened it. Immediately both of us were flooded with light.

Only Allah knows the inner meaning of the maidens we saw living there. Each one carried in her hand a serving-tray filled with light. The young girl asked the maidens where they were going, and they answered her, "We are looking for someone who was drowned in the sea, and so became a martyr. She never slept at night, not one wink! We are going to rub funeral spices on her body."

"Then rub some on my friend here," the young girl said.

"Once upon a time," said the maidens, "part of this spice and the fragrance of it clung to her body -- but then she shied away."

Quickly the young girl let go of my hand, turned, and said to me:

"Your prayers are your light;
Your devotion is your strength;
Sleep is the enemy of both.
Your life is the only opportunity that life can give you.
If you ignore it, if you waste it,
You will only turn to dust."

Then the young girl disappeared.

Dedicate

Dedicate time to ALLAH:
He's the price of satisfaction.

Dedicate time to think:
It's the fountain of power
.

Dedicate time to enjoy:
it's the secret of youth.

Dedicate time to love and be loved:
it's the source of joy and satisfaction.

Dedicate time to laugh:
it mitigates the stress

The Two Farewells of a Woman

Every woman is seen off from her home on two occasions. Once when she leaves her parents' home to get married, and the second time when she leaves her home in this world to travel to her abode in the hereafter.

Each girl grows up knowing that her parents, home is not her permanent home and that she will one day have to bid her family farewell to settle in her own home. If only all young girls would wait in anticipation for and dream about their second farewell as much as they do for the first. If only they would prepare for the second one as much as they do for the first. if only each parent would mentally and physically prepare their daughters for the second departure as much as they do for the first. Although the reality is that we should prepare for the second far more than the first, for our eternal fate depends on how well we are received when we reach our final destination.

Consider the following:

*During the first farewell, there is a great anxiety about whether or not the husband-to-be will be happy with her. Whereas for the second journey we have to worry whether or not Allah will be pleased with what He sees.

*Before the first journey the girl will take a long bath to beautify herself, whereas for the second she will be bathed by others.

*During the first journey she takes a grand trousseau with her, whereas the trousseau for the second journey is nothing but righteous deeds.

*She will share her joy with every woman present at her first farewell, whereas during the second one she will be all alone.

*During her first farewell she is dressed in the most expensive of outfits to please her husband, whereas the dress that will beautify and adorn her for the second journey is the the attire of "Taqwa".

*Invitations are handed out to celebrate the auspicious event of her Wedding. here Allah Himself invites her to Jannah. And Allah invites towards the abode of peace." (Al-Quraan)

*For her arrival, her new home in this world is decorated. For her arrival in Jannah Allaah decorates Jannah such that "no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard, nor has such beauty ever crossed anyone's imagination" (Hadeeth).

*On the occasion of a wedding, the hosts welcome the guests. Imagine a celebration in Jannah, where the host is Allah and we are the guests! Imagine being welcomed by Allah, while the angels also greet us.

*When we attend a wedding we are given appetizers. When we enter Jannah each person will be given a piece of bread as an appetizer that will encapsulate all the flavours of the world.

*If the husband is happy with her, the first night the woman spends with him is most cherished, and she never ever has nor will enjoy such blissful sleep as she does on the night of her wedding. Similarly, if Allah is happy with us when we journey to Him, the Hadeeth states that the person is told in his/her grave "Sleep in the (peaceful/blissful) manner that a bride does."

*If she is not accepted at her first home in the world, there is always the option of retuning to the sanctuary of her parents' home where she will be taken care of. There could even be a second chance to build a new home. Whereas if we are not accepted in the court of Allah after the second farewell, there is no other place of refuge and no second chance.

Ponder O sister! Which farewell should we concern ourselves with more.

Object of Despair

OBJECT OF DESPAIR
(By Fahim Firfiray)

Emma is a lawyer
And so is Aisha too
Colleagues going into court
At circa half past two

Its 1 O'Clock right now
They grab a bite before the trial
They chat about this and that
Conversing with a smile

Aisha is in full hijab
With a loose all over suit
Emma's in her business wear
With accessories taboot

Emma's really quite bemused
At Aisha's godly ways
She looks Aisha in the eyes
And very firmly says

You're a smart girl Aisha
Why do you wear that across your hair?
Subjugated by "man"-kind
An object of despair

Take it off my sister
Let your banner be unfurled
Don't blindly follow all around
DECLARE YOUR FREEDOM TO THE WORLD

Aisha is amazed
But not the least bit shy
She bravely puts her milkshake down
And gives Emma the reply

My dear sister Emma,
Why do you dress the way you do?
The skirt you're wearing round your waist,
Is it really you?

Now that we've sat down
I see you tug it across your thighs,
Do you feel ashamed?
Aware of prying eyes?

I see the way you're sitting,
Both legs joined at the knees,
Who forces you to sit like that?
Do you feel at ease?

I'll tell you who obliges you,
To dress the way you do,
Gucci, Klein, and St. Laurent
All have designs on you!

In the main, its men my friend,
Who dictate the whims of fashion,
Generating all the garb,
To incite the basest passion

"Sex Sells" there is no doubt
But who buys with such great haste,
The answer is likes like you,
Because they want to be embraced...

They want to be accepted,
On a level playing field
Sure, with brain and intellect
But with body parts revealed

Intelligence and reason
Are useful by and by
But if you want to make a mark
Stay appealing to the eye

You claim your skirt is office-like
A business dress of sorts
Would we not laugh at Tony Blair?
If he turned up in shorts?

His could be the poshest of pants
Pinstripe from Saville Rowe
But walking round like that my friend
He'd really have to go

Why do you douse yourself in creams
To make your skin so milky?
Why do you rip off all your hair
To keep your body silky?

A simple shower's all you need
To stay respectable and clean
The time and money that you spend
Is really quite obscene

Why do you wake up at dawn,
To apply a firm foundation,
Topped with make up and the like,
In one chaotic combination?

And if you should have to leave the house
Devoid of this routine
Why do you feel insecure
That you should not be seen?

Be free my sister Emma
Escape from your deep mire
Don hijab today my friend
And all Islam's attire

Avoid all those sickly stares
Or whistles from afar
Walk down the street with dignity
Take pride in who you are

Strength lies in anonymity
Be a shadow in the crowd
Until you speak and interact
When your voice will carry loud

You're a smart girl Emma
Wear this across your hair
Don't be subjugated by "man"-kind
An object of despair

To use your very words my friend
Let your banner be unfurled
Don't blindly follow all around
DECLARE YOUR FREEDOM TO THE WORLD

A letter to you from Shaytaan....

Scary & plan ol shocking

A reminder of some sorts!

I saw you yesterday as you began your daily chores.

You awoke without kneeling to pray. As a matter of fact, you didn't
even bless your meals, or pray before going to bed last night.
You are so unthankful, I like that about you.

I cannot tell you how glad I am that you have not changed Your Way of living,

Fool you are mine.
Remember, you and I have been going steady for years, and I still
don't love you yet. As a matter of fact, I hate you, because I hate Allah.

He kicked me out of heaven, and I'm going to use you as long as
possible to pay Him back.

You see, Fool,
ALLAH LOVES YOU and HE has great plans in store for you.

But you have yielded your life to me, and I'm going to make your
life a living hell.
That way, we'll be together twice. This will really hurt
Allah.

Thanks to you, I'm really showing Him who's boss in your life with
all of the good times we've had.

We have been...

watching dirty movies,
cursing people out,
stealing,
lying,
hypocritical,
fornicating,
overeating,
telling dirty jokes,
gossiping,
being judgmental,
back stabbing people,
disrespecting adults,
and those in leadership positions,
no respect for the masjids,
bad attitudes.

SURELY you don't want to give all this up.

Come on, Fool, let's burn together forever. I've got some
hot plans for us.

This is just a letter of appreciation from me to you.
I'd like to say 'THANKS' for letting me use you for most of your
foolish life.

You are so gullible, I laugh at you. When you are tempted to sin,
you give in.

HA HA HA, you make me sick.

Sin is beginning to take its toll on your life. You look 20 years
older, and now, I need new blood.
So go ahead and teach your children how to sin.

All you have to do is smoke, get drunk or drink while
under-aged,
cheat, gamble, gossip, fornicate, and live being as selfish as possible.

Do all of this in the presence of
your children and they will
do it too. Kids are like that.
Well, Fool, I have to let you go for now. I'll be back in
a couple of seconds to tempt you again. If you were smart, you
would run
somewhere, confess your sins, and live for
Allah with
what little bit of life that you have left.

It's not my nature to warn anyone, but to be your age and
still sinning, it's becoming a bit ridiculous. Don't get me
wrong, I still hate you.

IT'S JUST THAT YOU'D MAKE A BETTER FOOL FOR
ALLAH

Poem

The crown of creation set with richest gems
Diamonds and rubies in value beyond ken
Unequaled in brilliance, unique of kind
Are thou, O great Prophet! to all mankind.

Truthful by nature and of most saintly men,
All called thee the Trusty, the Al-Ameen,
Most loving to children, courteous to all,
To animals, tender, alike to great and small,
Never on earth a nobler soul has trod,
Never had another showed a truer way to God.

O sweetest flower that ever on earth did bloom,
Matchless alike in divine beauty and perfume,
O whitest lily that human eyes have seen,
O loveliest rose that in the world had been.

All nature join in homage, all men adore
Thee who brought light to a dark some world,
Thee whose teachings are as a necklace of pearls
Which when worn does radiant beauty impart,
Adding luster to body, soul and to heart.

Ya Rasool-Allah! our dearest friend and guide,
May God's eternal blessings with thee abide.
From the Arabian deserts thou surrounded thy call
To the worship of God, the Lord of all:

From the Arabian deserts thou taught mankind
Now the truest knowledge of God to find.
Thy words flew as lightening the whole world around
Of Truth and Light they did fully abound,
And nations, acknowledging the power of their sway,
Did find and follow the most truthful way.

In the wake of thy words true piety did spring,
And great knowledge and virtues did truly bring.
Never on earth a better soul was born,
Never the world did a purer soul adorn.

Man was fast sinking in idolatry and sin
When thy great mission did first begin.
Then in place of darkness thou Light did give,
And taught mankind the noblest way to live;
And reformed the world as never before,
And unique blessings on it did bestow.

Praise be to Allah for this favor divine
In sending thee the wicked world to refine,
Search the world though we may find from pole to pole
While the great ocean of time does onward roll,
A more perfect Prophet never can we find
Than thee who, thank God, gave Islam to mankind
Ya Rasool-Allah! my homage I make to thee,
Ya Nabi-Allah! my love I tender thee,
My life, my all, for thee I gladly give,
Thy divine messages shall with me forever live.

My love for thee no bounds does know,
In my heart thy memory shall ever glow
May Allah shower His choicest blessings on thee
May Allah grant thee peace for all eternity.

(Aameen)

A Mujahid's letter To His Wife

I received this by Way of e-mail from cousin Ma'riyyah in Canada with her accompanying words:

Such an inspiring and touching letter... ;(

No Haraam love letter or story can ever compare.. Please add this to your blog its a reminder that nothing can compare to the love put by Allah (swt) in a person's heart for another and that what a better sacrifice could be more rewarding..................... and *ahem* to show all the men out there how real love letters should be written ;)

Word of Note - this made me tear somewhat!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Dedicated to my Princess

You never complained when you knew we would have nothing.

You were content on having what little you needed.

Where others would have left or moaned you never once let out a sigh.

You understood what was written was what we would eat.

I never once complained about what was put in front of me

as I knew it was your hands that brought it to me.

When I had nothing I had you.

We smiled as we saw the destruction around us knowing that these people were not true.

You never felt sympathy towards the enemy.

You put your trust in your Rubb and in turn you followed me.

Never did I have to wonder about you as my secrets, my honour and my Deen were safe with you.

We both know what hardships you faced just by being with me, but not a word did you speak.

You were strong and in turn you made me strong.

Like a vanguard for this Ummah you concealed yourself.

Where others would rush to please their desires, you were the essence of Taqwa.

Life was easy with you it came so naturally.

You were the extension of me and would never need to finish my words as who knew me better than you?

You knew your place, which was by my side.

It's the little things that make the person and you would have easily have kept me going for a lifetime.

The way you would look at me with fire in your eyes showed me that I was the only one for you.

You stole my heart and hid it away.

I loved your jealousy.

I loved to tease you with the thought of others just so I could know how dear I was to you.

What chance did Shaytaan have when you would ensure that Fajr was the easiest of the Salaahs.

I loved that you would forsake me in an instant to fast a voluntary fast.

I loved that the Haqq was dearer to you than my life and those of our jewels

Watching you makes me laugh as I wonder if my heart will ever want another as I watch you feed my child, as you lift her out of the bath, as you wipe her little nose and the face she makes.

You will never find a diamond in the hands of the poor in the same way our diamond deserves to be carried in your hands.

We could have it all my love but who sells Paradise for an hour of passing pleasure?

Not us.

I chose you Umme Romana'ah as I know our fruits are safe with you.

Never would I have to worry about where the loyalties of my babies are.

They will love what we love they will love Allah Most Glorified Most High, they will Love the Prophets and the best of Companions, They will love those who they have never met but will long to meet.

They will love those better then us.

They will live to honour one statement - La illaha illallah Muhammadur RasoolAllah

Others will fall under the weight of it but not them.

Their hearts will beat it, their words testify to it and their hands carry it.

Dont think I left you.

Dont think that in this world anything is dearer to me then the minute that I walk home knowing what waits for me behind closed doors.

I went to find a better place for us. I went to fulfil the best of deals.

I saw it written that if you give your life then eternity will be ours.

I saw it written somewhere that this was all a test and I have no doubt that one who promises us and whose word is truth must love me very much as he gave me you and you were the hardest thing to give up.

They say the mind cannot comprehend what awaits us, that sadness will be forgotten, and they say that the eye has yet to see and the ear has yet to hear the beauties that await us in our new home.

They say Rivers of Honey my love, they say Rivers of Milk, they say Rivers of Wine. They say Pearls and Gold Thrones, they say Musk and Cool Breezes.

Is it not fitting that I go to see this land afar to take you and our children?

I fear that the gates of opportunity will close behind me my love.

I fear others will hear what I hear and rush there and I will have nothing to offer you.

I know you will send our sons to look for their father.

Tell them that they will find me in every battle, in every fight where the black flag is flown.

Tell them that the pain will be a pinch and then they will see what I see.

Tell them Green Birds wish to meet them.

Tell the Angels will call them by the best of names and most of all that Allah The One The Eternal will be pleased with them.

I told you once that only 2 things will have me. You and death.

My life was with you but now I must marry again.

I must marry what was promised to me the moment I was born.

I must marry my fate and in turn I must marry death.

After death will come reckoning and if I stand with the best of creation.

I will with the permission of Allah Lord of the Heavens and the Earth beg for you.

None was worthy to stand next to me in this life, so why is it I should desire another in the next?

Encouragement....

Encouragement

There comes a time in every woman's life when she has to take a closer look at herself. Not at her circumstances, not at what she did nor at how unfair her life is!! She has to just look at herself in all her glory and imperfection.

For many women this is a scary and daunting thing because often at times we don't want to know the truth about ourselves. Virtuous women know what I mean. As women, we have a tendency to water one another down. Maybe it makes us feel good to look better than the next woman...or maybe we just don't know how to tell that woman how we admire her. In reality we really need to look at ourselves, and the pain we project towards other women.

Have you ever admired a woman who has been through so many changes in her life? Or have you made up in your mind that she is just messed up? Before you make this mistake, take a closer look. A woman who has endured the most unusual life is someone of wisdom and courage, someone who has been chosen by Allah (swt) to go through these things that have made her stronger and never made her waiver in her faith.

Think of all the great women in Islam...Sayyadatina Khadijah (
Radhiallaahu Anha), is just to name one from the extensive list...she was not only our Nabi (saw) wife but companion, follower, a source of great comfort and much much more...she believed him when our Holy Qura'an was revealed unto him when no one else would believe in him.

Women are so quick to beat the next one down instead of trying to hold her up. Before you wonder, "What's up with her?" ask yourself, "What is the matter with me?" Why do I beat down another woman to build myself up? That woman could be my mother, sister, aunt, in-law, stepmother, niece, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbour, friend, or co-worker...That woman could be me!

Women are the carriers of life, not the channels of death. Let us build and encourage each other by Encouraging Love, Forgiveness and above all to Trust in each other.

Remember: Sorrow looks back, worry looks around, but FAITH always looks up...
