Sehri - Suhoor

Hadhrat Abu Saeed Khudri RA reported that Rasullullah ( sallallahu alaiyhi wasallam) said,
"Eating at Sehri is a blessing. If nothing else is available, drink some water. Allah and his angels send blessings to those who eat Sehri." (Ahmad)

Hadhrat Abdullah bin Harith RA said that once he went to Rasullullah ( sallallahu alaiyhi wasallam) when he was eating Sehri. When I met him, he said : "Allah has given His blessings, to Sehri, so you should never miss it". (Nasai)

Hadhrat Amr bin al Aas RA reported that Rasullullah ( sallallahu alaiyhi wasallam) has said : "The difference between our fasting and that of the people of the scriptures is that of Sehri." (Muslim)

Hazrat Anas bin Malik RA reported that Rasullullah ( sallallahu alaiyhi wasallam) has said : "Do eat Sehri, as there is blessing in it". (Bukhari, Muslim)

Rasullullah ( sallallahu alaiyhi wasallam) called Hadhrat Arbaz bin Sarya RA to join him in eating Sehri(suhoor) with the words : "Arbaz, come to the auspicious food". (Abu Dawud)
Hadhrat Abdullah bin Abbas RA says that Rasullullah ( sallallahu alaiyhi wasallam) said, "Have some sleep at noon, to facilitate waking up in the night and eat something at Sehri(suhoor), to gain strength for fasting". (Ibn Maja)

Hadhrat Abu Huraira RA that Rasullullah SAW said, "The best food for Sehri is dates." (Abu Dawud)

Hadhrat Salman bin Aamir RA reported that Rasullullah SAW has said: "Break your fast with dates. There is divine blessing in it. If the date is not available, break your fast with water, as it is pure". (Abu Dawud, Tirmizi)

DO'S OF RAMADAAN

* Do Read "La illaha illallah" abundantly
* Do beg for Jannah and protection from Jahannam
* Do repent for all sins and be constant in seeking Allah's
forgiveness(pardon)
* Do observe the Fard Fast
* Do remain occupied in the remembrance of Allah
* Do increase the recitation of the Glorious Qura'an
* Do be tolerant and maintain happiness with everyone
* Do bring serenity, respect and honour in all actions
* Do make humbleness prevalent in body, heart and soul
* Do be punctual with all Fard salaah, as well as Taraweeh with
congregation
* Do exercise patience
* Do increase acts of charity and discharge sadaqatul fitr
* Do increase Zikr and nafl ibaadah, especially in the last ten
nights.
DONT'S OF RAMADAAN

* Don't speak without purpose
* Don't be vulgar, rude or swear
* Don't be irritable
* Don't backbite, tell lies or gossip
* Don't argue or fight
* Don't be boastful or arrogant
* Don't eat doubtful food
* Don't look at undesirable things
* Don't listen to objectionable speech
* Don't commit any sins with the eyes, hands, feet or ears
